Enjoyed Sunday lunch here in July. Happy to see their enforcement of COVID procedures with spacing and maps—thank you. We enjoyed a delicious pizza
MoreGreat place for breakfast! You get a lot of food! Enjoyed the scenery, it's an old train depot with lots of history. A definite stop over next time I'm in Hickory.
MoreI just love Olde Hickory beer and the station is one of the best places to enjoy a pint. The restaurant has some fantastic food, a little pricey, but always good. Plus they have a nice little 'market' with beer, wine, cheeses, and other tid-bits. Plus the atmosphere of an old train depot is awesome.
MoreFirst time here and we loved it!!Our waiter Andrew was excellent! Very informative, friendly and professional.Cauliflower risotto balls were so so good!We had the Cuban and the Station Burger, and were very pleased with both! One of the best Cuban’s I’ve had!!Definitely will come back when in Hickory!
MoreGreat beer - theirs and guest breweries. Can get a flight with one to four beers. About 30 beers on tap. Nice outside patio. Great social distancing and covid safety by staff.
MoreGreat service, great beer and the food is excellent. Make sure you try the wings. An underrated item on their menu. Sit outside if the weather is nice.
MoreIt was my friends birthday and I had to move tables because of the sheep like managers. Won’t be coming back to here because of this.
MoreI walked in to pick up a to go order. Waited at the pick up counter for a few moments before being rudely told I had to leave because I wasn’t wearing a mask. Meanwhile the restaurant is filled with people eating, drinking and laughing none of which were wearing mask. I had to buy a disposable mask for $2 before he would hand me the order. I was told “it’s the law dude”. First off, it wasn’t a law then and isn’t a law now. Had I not had someone waiting at home on the food I would have told them to keep it. The station just lost a customer forever. Vote with your dollars folks.
MoreMixed review here. Some of us got burgers which were great. A few got the the prime rib special which was tough like rubber and when the manager came to see, he agreed, but then only reduced $21 of the $28 cost. The problem was, they knew it was overcooked because the waitress mentioned it, and yet they still served it. It was their error and they should’ve eaten the cost. That’s just bad service. Another person in our party got their pizza when we were halfway done. I have no desire to ever return here.
MoreReally cool experience. Great bar that reminds you of an old town bar. Great store inside with lots of options. Corn hole boards outside with outside seating. They serve flights of beer as well. Great stop in.
MoreThe food was plentiful and delicious. The brussel sprouts with feta cheese and bacon were really good. They offered some interesting and different drinks from the bar that were tasty. They change the menu every now and again so they have new and different choices to enjoy.
MoreWas a very nice place to eat with an excellent menu , awesome brunch menu , wine , cheese and in house bakery market excellent brew selection from in house and guest taps. The service was great, very friendly staff. Excellent lay out with seating/ flow. I will definitely be back!!
MoreA great local restaurant located in downtown Hickory. They have an amazing local beer selection, several different eggs Benedict styles, and an adorable outside seating area. Chris was wonderful and helped us pick something local and fun because we were from out of town.
MoreOne of my favorite eateries Have never had a bad meal here And there's nothing on the menu you shouldn't try!
MoreThe food was amazing! Service was fantastic! Everyone respected social distancing! I can't wait to go again 👍🏽
MorePerfect location in downtown hickory right beside the train tracks and across from questions downtown shops. Certain entrees are really good (pizza, braised chicken), but the pulled pork at lunch is one I wouldn't recommend. More like 3.5 stars for taste. Service has always been on the slow side during my visit, but friendly enough. I'd recommend it, but it's not a standout.
MoreI cannot say enough good things about this place! The building is awesome, full of character and history. There is a fantastic selection of beer/wine/mead/cider and a mouthwatering display of baked goods. The food was delicious- try the cauliflower fritters!! There is an extensive tap list, and it looked like you could get any of the beers as a flight option if you want. I can't wait to go back!
MoreI went there with my mother on a whim with only a few dollars (not expecting to find much we could afford) and we were met with a delightful waitress who made ordering easy and fun for us. Plus the food and drinks were spectacular! Truly!
MoreThe food was delicious, our server was fantastic. It was our first time, she made great recommendations. The decor is pretty cool also. We will be regulars
MoreHad lunch in the patio. Safety precautions in place. Spinach berry salad was delicious. Fresh ingredients.. courteous service. No complaints here.
MoreNice lunch, great service and a train came by. What more could you ask for?
I am not from the area, so I found this place using my best breakfast app.The food was amazing. I had the chicken and biscuits, potatoes and scrambled eggs. Best sausage gravy I have had since Savannah Georgia.I would have given five stars however the customer service is lacking. It took almost 10 minutes for somebody to come to my table just to greet me. Then my order took almost 20 minutes to get to the table. Lastly, I had to wait 10 minutes to get silver ware after asking for it twice, I had to finally flag down another server to ask for some.Needs work...oh one last thing... I was charged for buffalo sauce, which I didn't use. The waiter asked me if I'd like to try it on my chicken, which I said I will try it on the side. Didn't tell me I would be charged for it.
MoreThe food is always delicious, the drinks are always refreshing, and the outdoor seating is the best place in the entire restaurant. They always have a great selection of craft beer and mixed drinks. We love going to the Olde Hickory Station.
MoreI highly recommend old hickory station. It’s so hard to find dine in right now...OHS is open for dine in as long as you wear your mask as you enter. They are social distancing inside. We sampled the different beers. They have lots to choose from. The food was fantastic and the service was top notch. Pay them a visit. You won’t be dissapointed.
MoreTHIS...is our go.to.spot. Try the cauliflower fritters and have a Rosey Cheeks! Always has great items on the menu, no matter what you like. Several beers on tap. Also, an eye catching dessert selection as you walk in!
MoreFantastic food and great service! Wide beer variety (wine & liquor too, but I can only speak on the beer). Must visit if you are in the Hickory area.
MoreI went to eat here in February and I finally got the time to write a review for this place. The food here was the best and this is not an exaggeration. My fiancee' got the fried trout over some rice and I got the duck, which both were amazing and delicious. Although I would be lying if I didn't say I liked my partner's more. His was just the best fried fish I ever had. It was tender and flaky, and there was no grease! That was the best part about it. Now don't get me wrong, the duck was incredible and we just shared our plates because of how wonderful they both were. Our waitress was fun and her make-up, although unusual to some people, I thought it was fantastic. She is one of a kind and I hope she can be our waitress in the future because she was not only kind, but diligent as well. Amazing service, food and staff made this a nice and memorable experience. I will be returning for future meals.
MoreAlways a good meal and a good time here. We come here for breakfast/brunch, lunch, and dinner. If we have out of town guests or clients, we bring them here and have always been pleased.
MoreGreat, GREAT food and the entire staff is very courteous
My husband and I stopped on our way back from Asheville. It was so worth it! Thank you to the gentleman that brought us off the street (no pressure, he saw us looking in the window) and explained the whole menu! Had us at the great cooking smells!
MoreDay trip to Hickory and came across this restaurant/store combo. Ate outside with Covid responsive staff and spacing. Delicious steak Cobb salad was plentiful. Steak tender and tasty. My gal had the BBQ lunch plate which she enjoyed. The cauliflower fritters were just okay and we're enhanced by the herbal butter. Service was attentive and friendly. The bakery, deli and wine store was fun to shop in.
MoreFood was good, service was a little slow.
If you’re looking for a slightly more upscale option in Hickory, this is one of the better options. One of three restaurants in town owned by Olde Hickory Brewing. They have a really nice market area on one side of the restaurant with bottled wines, meat, cheese, and other assorted goods for sale. The main restaurant is a sit down dining area in the old train station. Cool architectural features and nice atmosphere. Can be a bit loud at peak times. Great patio area with a view of downtown. On nice evenings this is one of the best seats in Hickory, atmosphere wise. Food is solid - selection of sandwiches, pizzas, and a variety of entrees.
MoreOlde Hickory Station offers an in house sausage for breakfast and it is nothing short of amazing. The chicken and biscuits is also a super delicious dish! Can't go wrong eating here for brunch.
MoreThe food was delicious and fun! A ton of beverages to select from as well!
Lots of beer choices. Craft, craft, and more craft options in this trendy little area. This is in the revitalized area of town where the yuppies, hippies all blend together in this town square. So your out to have a nice steak and beer yet some Kirk Cobain want to be smelling up the booth next to you. Staff is nice a knowledgeable of the craft beers, food is good. The only complaint is the local people are smug. No southern hospitality in this area. Everyone is scared to be friendly and out going. Town full of introverts.
MoreGreat did. Great service. Beautiful place. Historical train station 🚉 . Lots of unique food, like different cheeses, breads 🍞, desserts, and there's lots of gift ideas. Meals are delicious, reasonably priced and big portions. Have fun! Enjoy.
MoreGood food. We got the club and a burger. Service was great!
Nice Steakhouse based at the old station building. Lovely setting by the rail tracks in downtown Hickory. Place includes a restaurant, tap house and shop. 3 of us eat here having dinner after work. I had a burger, they didn’t ask how I wanted it and the waitress couldn’t get away quick enough. When it came it was well done and actually a bit dry. I would have told her but there was no check back. My colleagues ordered steak with garlic mushrooms and were both not impressed. Great place food not good, poor service.
MoreWe are new in town traveling and my wife found this place online. It exceeded our expectations all the way around. The service was friendly and amazing and the food was delicious and done perfectly including the large chocolate cake :-) would highly recommend this place!
MoreGreat food and good service! If you like huge juicy burgers, the station burger is for you... an 1/2 pound burger with pimento cheese, thick sliced bacon, a fried egg and lettuce, tomato and mayo with a side of fries. I do not eat bread so I ordered it bunless.
MoreExcellent food and service! Very cool place! We had the meat and cheese tray for an appetizer. My husband had the Western omelet and I had the steak salad. There was so much food, that I got two lunches out of my salad! I loved the cheese case in the front and all of the exotic beers. We will definitely go there again!
MoreGood and friendly service. Food was tasty
Love the Patio! Food was cooked just Right! I had a great Lady server! They get a 5 from us
MoreGood Food. Good Service. We went for a late night dinner after visiting a family member at the hospital in Hickory. They've got a bakery area and all kinds of local brews for sale in the bakery/store part. The Mapke Walnut Cheesecake is to die for. Nice place.
MoreFood is always great. The Shrimp with Grit cake...that lemon butter mixed with salsa soooo goid
MoreWhat a great weekend of extreme social distancing. (Aka bike riding). We took a beautiful ride in to Hickory to Old Hickory Station. We went for brunch and we're just astounded. There was a little wait to be seated which was normal for anyplace. But the way they notified you was via text. No waiting in the doorway or holding some crummy pager/buzzer. They had beer taps on beer taps on beer taps. 50 some taps. Because we were on the bikes, no sampling. The service was stellar. Our waitress was nice and polite, the coffee was great. I had a western omelet that was out of this world. After, we rode up 268, by Leatherwood, to Elk Creek Darby road, and by Rock View Baptist Church then by the entrance for Powder Horn Mtn.What a great day for it. Thanks Olde Hickory Station, we really enjoyed it.
MoreLocated right next to train tracks and was a renovated train station. I got a burger which was very juice and not bad for a restaurant burger (nothing will match a homemade burger with fresh ground meat). My friend got the Cuban sandwich which was huge and highly recommended by the server. The French fries were shoe string style and perfectly cooked. They have a bakery onsite; all the desserts looked amazing...the cake pops were the size of golf balls.
MoreEven in these trying times the Station is still a great place for consistently prepared food and awesome hand crafted beer!
MoreGreat drinks and great service. Get the shrimp and grits. I promise its worth it.
